Jump and Train are particularly adorable, and it has to do with the "Amiguru" design. What sets them apart is the presentation and Hatsune Miku theme. That was also the case with Crypton's first game, MikuLogi, which was a themed clone of Picross. When you run into one too many blocks and the number of carriages reaches 0, it's game over. Miku Train, meanwhile, is an endlessly scrolling game in which Miku and all her pals sit in cute little train carriages, and you need to navigate them across a track to collect balls of yarn, which adds to the number of carriages, while avoiding numbered blocks, which will reduce the number of carriages by the number printed on the block. Miss-time the jump, though, and Miku will end up trapped, and then it's game over. Time them right and she'll land safely on the platform and move up a "level". Miku Jump tasks you with timing "jumps" to move up the screen as platforms appear above Miku. Rather they're more traditional mobile-type games that focus very heavily on making you love the characters. Neither of these games are rhythm games, see.
#Hello miku hatsune vocaloid 4 official guide book license#
Where the company has previously worked with third-party companies to license Miku for games (the most obvious example being Sega for the rhythm game series), Crypton seems to be interested in using the mobile space to further Miku as a character. There I found two Miku games that I hadn't yet played (one of them being released within the last week), and they're just the most adorable things.īoth Hatsune Miku Amiguru Jump and Hatsune Miku Amiguru Train are published by Crypton Future Media - the company that owns Miku herself. However, with this time of year being what it is, I had a couple of moments spare so I figured I'd check and see what is going on with Miku on the app store. I must admit that I don't check the mobile gaming space nearly as often as I probably should (especially since I subscribe to that Apple Arcade thing and don't even check what games I've got to play on it).
